The News Media Alliance today announced the winning media startups that will participate in the 4th annual Accelerator Pitch Program at mediaXchange 2017. The program showcases new businesses that provide solutions for print and digital news media. The winners will pitch their innovative solutions to approximately 1,000 news media industry attendees at the conference.

The competition—to be held in conjunction with its annual mediaXchange conference—seeks video entries from college students enrolled in journalism programs. The videos will focus on why the future of media is bright, and what inspired these students to pursue journalism.
The News Media Alliance today announced the launch of its annual Top 30 Under 30 Awards program to honor young industry leaders as a part of its mediaXchange 2017 conference. The program provides an opportunity to showcase the energy, innovation and vitality of the news media industry – and its rising stars – at the largest annual gathering of industry executives in North America.
The News Media Alliance is now accepting submissions for its fourth annual Accelerator Pitch program at mediaXchange 2017, which will take place April 30-May 3, 2017, at the Marriott New Orleans.

The event floor will encourage members to float from one experience to the next, engaging in longer, more focused discussions that lead to productive outcomes and actionable ideas.
The convention room will consist of several areas with distinct purposes:
Main Stage – Keynote speakers will address broad cultural and environmental themes affecting the news media industry, as well as translate research data on audience and news consumption patterns to increase readership and engagement.
Innovation Stage – Presentations that showcase how the industry is innovating, including the fourth annual Accelerator Pitch program featuring media startups offering innovative solutions for news media.
Table Talks – On the show floor, table talks will offer deeper dives on content directly sourced from members through ideaxchange, social media and the website. Attendees choose which talks they want to go to. Each table conversation lasts 30-45 minutes and is led by a designated facilitator. Attendees can float between table talks.
