Hopefully by now, you’ve heard about our member-only platform ideaXchange. But I wanted to take a moment to explain what this platform is and why it exists.
IdeaXchange gives us is a place to start and continue networking/conversations and to keep building on those relationships. mediaXchange – our signature event fosters meaningful exchanges and we don’t want the networking to end when the event is over. When we think about the News Media Alliance and its mission to connect, engage, and inform– Ideaxchange really serves as an ongoing resource for the robust exchange of information and ideas.
Whether you’re a circulation manager, digital editor, or content strategist – it’s extremely helpful for you to talk to others in your role, in your industry who face similar day to day objectives. This is the purpose of developing special interest groups and that’s really one of the main goals of ideaXchange as well.
Post a question, advice or anything interesting you’ve noticed about the industry—no sales pitches please. We’re here to talk about problems, innovation and solutions with you, along with over 15,000 industry professionals.
You’re auto-enrolled in this program and can log in from newsmediaalliance.org/membership. You will need your NetForum credentials to log in. The platform was designed to be intuitive, but if you have absolutely any questions, reach out to our community manager: Kirsten Ballard at kirsten@newsmediaalliance.org. You will receive the daily digest by default, but I know daily emails can be a lot, so your subscription is easily adjustable under your setting preferences.
Please take a moment this week to update your profile picture and introduce yourself in the “Getting to Know You” thread in the general discussion. I can’t wait to hear from you!
