Presenter: Gary Meo, Senior Vice President, Sales Director, Nielsen Scarborough

Mobile is now the primary access point to online retail for most U.S. consumers, and consumers are using
their mobile devices in every step of their shopping journey. Whether it’s finding inspiration from their favorite fashion blogger, comparing prices, or using in-store mobile checkout, shoppers’ reliance on their mobile devices continues to grow. With billions of dollars being poured into mobile advertising, changes in the ways consumers shop and buy pose a number of threats – and opportunities – for retailers and newspaper publishers alike.

This webinar will examine the trends among mobile shoppers and buyers, and the implications for newspaper publishers.

Specifically, we will look at:

  • Shopping and buying behaviors by category and device
  • The diversity of audience segments across devices
  • Mobile shopping behaviors among various generations, especially millennials
  • The role of social media in the mobile shopping experience
  • Attitudes toward mobile advertising vs. other media
  • Implications for newspaper publishers

The webinar will conclude with a brief overview of Nielsen Scarborough’s mobile audience measurement solution for newspaper companies and recommendations for monetizing mobile audience segments in your local market.
